World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day was first observed in 1988 and is organised by UNAIDS, the branch of the United Nations that oversees action against AIDS. The day raises awareness of HIV/AIDS as well showing support for those living with the condition and commemorating those who have died as a result of AIDS.
