Palm Sunday is a Christian festival that takes place on the Sunday before Easter and marks Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey. The name refers to the palms carried by Jesus’ followers in the procession and the day sets into motion Holy Week, the week before Easter, which contains many important Christian holy days.
