Darwin Day
Darwin Day is held on the anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin (1809-1882), the English naturalist, geologist, and biologist who first proposed the theory of evolution by natural selection in his 1859 book On the Origin of Species. The day celebrates his scientific achievements and scientific thinking in general.
